2019 Lifetime Achievement Award
Thomas Lynn Craft was born in Vernon Parish, Louisiana on October 30, 1931. He preached his first sermon at the age of thirteen… the rest as they say, its history. He gave up a scholarship to Louisiana State to attend International Bible College in San Antonio, TX. He transferred two years later to Apostolic Bible College in St. Paul Minnesota and graduated in 1953.
At the age of 24, he and his wife were charter members of The Pentecostals of Alexandria. After evangelizing for a few years, God directed him to St. Francisville where be built his second church. He has been a Youth President and a pastor. He arrived in Jackson, Mississippi in 1962 and built a work that would reach all over the nation and the world. His vision brought him to found Jackson College of Ministry in 1976. His passion for Missions led him to develop the partners in missions’ program that was eventually adopted by the United Pentecostal Church International. It is still being used to this day.
